At “Adem Jashari” International Airport, upon arrival, customs officials conducted a check of a passenger and his luggage.

During the initial scanning and physical inspection of the passenger, a significant amount of undeclared cash, £8,000, was found on his body, hidden in his socks, in addition to another sum the passenger was carrying with him.

In total, the amount found was £9,300, which, according to the official exchange rate, corresponds to €10,611.59, reports KosovaPress.

The passenger was issued an administrative fine of 25% of the undeclared amount, while the remaining funds were temporarily seized pending the completion of legal procedures.

The case has also been referred to the Investigations sector for further proceedings, KosovaPress reports.
