Construction costs increase in Kosovo

The Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS) has announced that the overall Construction Cost Index (CCI) in Kosovo increased by 0.5 percent in the fourth quarter (Q4) of 2025 compared to the third quarter (Q3) of 2025, KosovaPress reports.

According to KAS, during this period increases were observed in transport (3.5%); wages (1.2%); other costs (1.2%); materials (0.3%); and energy (0.2%). Meanwhile, a decrease was recorded in machinery (-0.1%).

Compared to the same period of the previous year — namely Q4 2025 with Q4 2024 — the Construction Cost Index increased by 3.5 percent (3.6% according to detailed data).

The most significant annual increases were recorded in energy (9.8%); wages (8.1%); other costs (5.3%); transport (4.4%); and materials (2.6%). In contrast, a decline was noted in machinery (-0.4%).
