The Constitutional Court has dismissed as inadmissible the request of the Democratic Party of Kosovo regarding the legality of decisions made by the Energy Regulatory Office (ERO).

In a Facebook statement, ERO assessed that this ruling “confirms the legality of the regulator’s decisions,” as well as the process of liberalizing the electricity market in the Republic of Kosovo.

ERO added that it will continue the full implementation of the electricity market liberalization process, in accordance with Law No. 05/L-085 on Electricity and the relevant secondary legislation.

“This process aims to create a competitive, transparent, and efficient market, in the interest of all consumers,” the statement reads.
