Rahovec marked today (Saturday) the anniversary of the massacres that took place in some of its villages. In Brestoc on their 24th anniversary, the 5 martyrs and 49 martyrs of this village were commemorated. On March 25, 1999, one of the most terrible massacres took place in Kosovo, one day after the start of the NATO bombing of Serbian targets.

The Mayor of the Municipality of Rahovec, Smajl Latifi with his colleagues, representatives of the associations that emerged from the KLA war, family members of the fallen and citizens of the village paid homage and honored the martyrs who sacrificed themselves for the freedom of Kosovo.
