CEC concludes local elections, certifies the results of the Istog Municipal Assembly as well

The Central Election Commission has concluded the process of the 2025 local elections. At its meeting today, the CEC certified the final result from these elections, specifically for the Municipal Assembly of Istog.

Earlier, on November 21, 2025, the CEC had certified the final results for 37 municipal assemblies: Deçan, Gjakova, Drenas, Gjilan, Dragash, Kaçanik, Klinë, Fushë Kosovë, Kamenica, South Mitrovica, Leposaviq, Lipjan, Novobërdë, Obiliq, Rahovec, Peja, Prishtina, Podujeva, Prizren, Skenderaj, Shtime, Shtërpcë, Suharekë, Ferizaj, Viti, Vushtrri, Zubin Potok, Zveçan, Malisheva, Junik, Mamushë, Hani i Elezit, Graçanica, Ranillugu, Partesh, Kllokot and North Mitrovica.

This decision by the CEC did not include the election result for the Municipal Assembly of Istog, as the decision-making process regarding a complaint by a candidate for member of this municipal assembly had not yet been completed. Meanwhile, the results of the mayoral elections have been certified in two separate meetings, KosovaPress reports.

Initially, on November 3, the CEC certified the results of the first round of mayoral elections for 35 municipalities, while on November 8 it certified the results for three other municipalities. Out of the total number of municipalities, in 20 of them the winners were elected in the first round, such as: Deçan, Drenas, Kamenica, Leposaviq, Lipjan, Novobërdë, Obiliq, Podujeva, Skenderaj, Shtime, Shtërpcë, Ferizaj, Zubin Potok, Zveçan, Malisheva, Hani i Elezit, Graçanica, Ranillugu, Partesh and North Mitrovica.

The results of the second round of mayoral elections were certified on November 27 for 18 municipalities: Gjakova, Gjilan, Dragash, Kaçanik, Klina, Fushë Kosova, South Mitrovica, Obiliq, Rahovec, Peja, Prishtina, Prizren, Suharekë, Viti, Vushtrri, Junik, Mamushë and Kllokot.
