CEC: All polling stations have opened at 7 o'clock
The Central Election Commission has announced that at 7 o'clock in the morning all polling stations have opened. Spokesman Valmir Elezi in the first conference of the CEC for today, said that 883 polling centers have been opened and a total of 2477 polling stations.
"I inform you that all polling stations have opened at 7 o'clock. The number of polling centers where the voting process started is 883 with a total of 2,477 polling stations. Today in the Republic of Kosovo are held the seventh Local Elections in a row for Municipal Assemblies and the fifth for Mayors. Elections are held to elect 38 Mayors and 1,002 members of 38 Municipal Assemblies. The total number of certified candidates for participation in these elections is: 5 thousand 364 candidates, of which 166 candidates for Mayor and 5 thousand 198 candidates for Municipal Assemblies. According to the final list certified by the Central Election Commission, the number of citizens with the right to vote is: 1 million 885 thousand 448", said Elezi.
