The Police in Peja have issued a special appeal regarding the caution that citizens should exercise during these days of frost on roads, sidewalks, and public spaces.

The appeal is particularly addressed to the owners of car wash businesses that clean vehicles.

They have been urged to exercise increased caution when discharging water onto sidewalks and roads, as this, according to the police, leads to the formation of ice.

“These icy conditions then pose a serious risk to road traffic safety by causing accidents and directly endangering pedestrians,” the appeal states. For those who continue to violate the rules by discharging water onto sidewalks and public roads, the police have warned that, in cooperation with the competent municipal authorities, they are obliged to undertake increased control measures and enforce legal actions.
