The funeral ceremony of Blerim Salihu, the son of national hero Jashar Salihu, will be held tomorrow at the cemetery of the village of Botushë in Gjakova. The deceased, Blerim Salihu, lost his life in a serious traffic accident that occurred on Sunday evening in Switzerland.

The family of national hero Jashar Salihu announced that the burial of Blerim Jashar Salihu, who died in a traffic accident in Switzerland, will take place on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at 5:00 PM, at the new cemetery in the village of Botushë, in the municipality of Gjakova.

In a statement, the family expressed gratitude for the many condolences received from citizens, relatives, friends, and collaborators, both through their presence and through messages, phone calls, and posts in the media and on social networks.

The family also said that after the completion of procedures for the transfer of the body from Switzerland to Kosovo, the funeral ceremony will be held in Botushë.

The condolences will be open from Wednesday until Friday in the traditional house (oda) in the village of Botushë.
