Bislimi: We experienced a security threat with attacks on the CEC website

The First Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Development and Dialogue of the Republic of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi, before the meeting in Warsaw at the level of ministers for European affairs, organized by the Polish Presidency of the Council of the EU, said that during the elections we directly experienced a security threat with regard to attacks on the website of the Central Election Commission.

He wrote on Facebook that together with counterparts from the region and Europe, the topic of discussion at the table will be the threats of hybrid attacks on the EU enlargement process and jointly facing the challenges that arise.

“We had the elections last week and we experienced directly this form of security threats, in terms of attacks on the Central Election Commission website, and there was also a very sophisticated and intensive frequency of distribution and production of false information, very sophisticated, in terms of selected issues and time”, he said.

At the invitation of the Minister for European Union Affairs of Poland, Adam Szłapka, the First Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Development and Dialogue of the Republic of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi, is staying in Warsaw, where he will participate together with counterparts in the meetings and discussions organized within the framework of the "Informal Meetings of Ministers for European Union Affairs".
