Bajram Qerkini, the President of the “Voice of Parents” Association, laid to rest in Mitrovica
The President of the “Voice of Parents” Association, Bajram Qerkini, who died the day before, was buried on Tuesday in Mitrovica.
In addition to his family, various central and local authorities, as well as numerous citizens, also attended to bid him farewell.
Kushtrim Gara, from the Government Committee for Missing Persons, called the deceased a synonym for an example of spiritual strength, dedication and commitment.
According to him, he was a representative of a family with three generations of missing persons and a tireless voice in the search for truth and justice.
“We will always be grateful for the wise words, sincere support and precious help. We have not only lost an associate, but a man who represented the voice of thousands of families waiting for the truth…. The commitment, the work, the legacy of Bajram Qerkini will remain an inspiration for all of us”, said Gara.
