The Ministry of Culture, Youth, and Sports has received clarification from the Anti-Corruption Agency regarding the participation of high-ranking public officials in sports organizations.

The Head of the Sports Agency at the Ministry, through a Facebook post, announced that according to the ACA, such officials cannot hold executive or managerial positions in sports organizations registered as NGOs. They may only be members, without pay and without leadership roles, except for reimbursement of expenses related to their activities.

Furthermore, any organization in which a high-ranking official is a member cannot enter into contracts or receive funding from the institution where the official serves, in accordance with the Law on the Prevention of Conflict of Interest.

According to Shatri, following this interpretation, the Ministry of Culture, Youth, and Sports and the Sports Agency will handle all cases in accordance with the law, ensuring equal enforcement of the rules, institutional integrity, and transparency in sports.
