"I have made a rather long treaty for the transformation of AJK, but it should be seen in the next three years. Getoarba is insisting that it is too long and I will be short. In short, I am asking for the vote of all of you, especially let's vote for four women and one man as members of the board", said Buzhala.
Before the voting process for the chairman and board members began, Rexha presented some of the main activities of AJK during the three-year mandate.
He said that returning the annual awards for journalists and increasing them from 4 to 9 was among the main things they did. In addition, Rexha mentioned the advocacy for the safety and protection of journalists from various attacks, stressing that they have managed to raise their voices and condemn them.
Among other things, Rexha mentioned the provision of two donations with protective equipment for about 20 media.
Apart from these, the Chairperson of the Board of AJK, Xhemajl Rexha, revealed details from the financial report. He said that for the year 2021 the annual revenues were over 98 thousand euros, where 39 percent of them were spent on salaries of the executive staff and another 59 percent on the organization of conferences, printing of reports, and others.
For 2022, Rexha emphasized that the revenues were nearly 250 thousand euros, while for 2023 they reached over 525 thousand euros.
