The Electoral Assembly of the Football Federation of Kosovo (FFK) will be held tomorrow (Thursday) in Prishtina, starting at 11:00 at the Hotel Emerald. According to KosovaPress sources, the event will not be open to the media but will be broadcast LIVE on the FFK’s official channels.
This assembly takes place following concerns raised by the Ministry of Culture, Youth, and Sports (MKRS) regarding the democratic standards for candidacy for FFK president. In its letter, MKRS noted that the requirement for 15 supporting signatures could limit competition.
UEFA has confirmed receipt of the MKRS letter and emphasized that all official communication must go through FFK. Its response also included a joint letter from FIFA and UEFA confirming the harmonization of the FFK statute, noting that further discussions can only take place after the assembly is held. MKRS sources have confirmed that the assembly itself can proceed legitimately and there are no obstacles to its continuation.
Acting President Agim Ademi is expected to be the only candidate, seeking another four-year term.
