At the Basic Court in Pristina, the trial session against Zoran Kostić and Dragan Milović, accused of war crimes, has failed to take place. This happened at the request of the defense of the accused, Zoran Kostić, who stated that the statement of the witness scheduled to be heard today was received in Serbian with a delay. According to him, they received it only 10 minutes before the start of the session, as reported by KosovaPress.
Zoran Kostić and Dragan Milović are accused of, as members of the Serbian police, in collaboration with other members of the police, army, and Serbian paramilitaries, committing war crimes against the civilian population.
The prosecutor of the case, Florije Shamolli, requested that the session continue with the questioning of the witness, Naim Haliti, only by the prosecutor.
However, this was again opposed by Kostić’s lawyer, Predrag Milković.
Subsequently, the presiding judge, Lutfi Shala, stated that, not wanting to deny the defense the right to an effective defense, there are no conditions to continue the session, and he adjourned it.
The next session is scheduled to be held on November 24 at 13:15.
