A major police operation is currently underway in several cities across Kosovo, Chief Prosecutor Petrit Kryeziu has announced, reports KosovaPress.
KosovaPress attempted to contact the Chief Prosecutor of Prizren, Petrit Kryeziu, but he was unavailable.
The operation is being carried out by the Economic Crimes Unit of the Kosovo Police and is being led by a large number of prosecutors from the Basic Prosecution Office in Prizren.
According to “Burimi për Drejtësi,” several individuals have been arrested so far in the regions of Prizren, Prishtina, Peja, Gjilan, Ferizaj, Mitrovica, and Gjakova. The operation is related to the commission of criminal offenses including “abuse of trust,” “abuse of authority in economic activities,” “assisting in abuse of trust,” and “forgery of documents.”
