Osmani: We discussed with the U.S. the revival of the strategic dialogue

The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, announced that during her meeting with the U.S. Deputy Secretary of State, Christopher Landau, they discussed the revival of the strategic dialogue.

In a video posted on social media, Osmani also said that she and Landau discussed a range of issues related to bilateral cooperation, security, peace, the economy, and Kosovo’s Euro-Atlantic integration.

She also spoke about the signing of a law by U.S. President Donald Trump, which includes the Republic of Kosovo and provides support for the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, excludes border changes, and stipulates that dialogue with Serbia must be based on mutual recognition.

“We also discussed a number of other issues for which it is essential to have full and continuous coordination with the United States as our most important strategic ally, as well as the steps forward and the actions we need to take in order for the strategic dialogue with the U.S. to be restored,” she said after the meeting with the U.S. Deputy Secretary of State.

During the meeting, President Osmani also emphasized U.S. support for Kosovo’s membership in NATO and for increasing strategic investments in the economic sector. She underlined the need for full and continuous coordination with the United States as a strategic ally and expressed full confidence in the administration of President Trump.
