The President of the country, Vjosa Osmani, has responded following a letter she received on Tuesday from U.S. President Donald Trump, in which he thanked her for her commitment and friendship toward the United States.
Osmani stated that Kosovo will continue to stand side by side with the U.S. “in every challenge and success.”
“I remain committed to working together with President Trump to further deepen our alliance in the years to come,” Osmani said in a Facebook post on Thursday, expressing gratitude to President Trump “for his support, as well as for his strong words regarding the partnership with Kosovo.”
On Tuesday, August 5, Osmani received Trump’s letter, in which he expressed his desire to strengthen cooperation in the coming years.
The U.S. President stated that the U.S. and Kosovo share a deep bond, based on mutual respect and shared democratic values.
In the letter, as announced by the Presidency, Trump thanked Osmani for her courageous leadership. /KosovaPress
