Operation in Pristina: Police seize drugs and narcotic mushrooms

The Kosovo Police have confiscated a significant amount of narcotics in an operation carried out by the Unit for the Investigation of Drug Trafficking in Pristina, where one person was arrested and another remains at large.

According to the police, the operation took place on the evening of September 18, when 0.6 grams of cocaine and 3.5 grams of marijuana were found during the stopping of a vehicle.

Another suspect, upon noticing the police, fled the scene, throwing a bag containing 41.8 grams of marijuana. In his car, 180 euros and a phone were also found, which were seized as material evidence.

Subsequently, with the prosecutor’s order, the homes of the two suspects were searched. In one residence, 545.6 grams of marijuana, a scale, and other relevant evidence were found, while in the other home 9.2 grams of marijuana, 15 plastic boxes planted with narcotic mushrooms, and 179 jars with seeds in the production phase for their cultivation were discovered.

The suspect L.A., a Kosovo citizen, has been detained for 48 hours by the prosecutor’s decision, while investigations to apprehend the other suspect continue.
