Musliu calls Speaker Albulena Haxhiu “chairwoman of the theater of fairy tales”

In parliament, Speaker Albulena Haxhiu and Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) MP Ganimete Musliu clashed.

At the beginning of her speech, Musliu addressed Haxhiu as the “chairwoman of the theater of fairy tales,” prompting a reaction from the Speaker.

Musliu: Dear chairwoman of the theater of fairy tales, Ms. Albulena Haxhiu.

Haxhiu: Thank you, dear Gane.

Musliu: A clarification, chairwoman—while a frustrated minister comes out and tells MPs they are telling fairy tales, you do not react…

Haxhiu: You do not have the right to call anyone frustrated; mind your language or your floor will be taken. Gane.

Musliu: May I continue, Ms. Haxhiu?

Haxhiu: If you want to speak, take your time, but be careful how you behave toward ministers and MPs. Deal with me as much as you want, I have no problem with that,” they said.

At the extraordinary session discussing electricity prices, Musliu said that “the dignity of citizens under this government has fallen to the ground.”

“We have debated this topic several times, but without any result. The dignity of citizens under this government has fallen to the ground. Today in our country, the citizen is treated only technically; therefore, today we should not speak only about kilowatts, we should speak about the dignity of the citizens of this country. Because if for someone in this hall who is dressed with power, energy is a statistic, a luxury, for the citizen it is survival,” Musliu said.
