Generators were turned on again in Prishtina and other parts of the country this Wednesday.
This is due to reductions in electricity supply.
The Operator of the Electricity Transmission, System, and Market (KOSTT) announced that it is forced to implement power cuts due to the overload of the energy network. According to KOSTT, they are obliged to limit the load in order to maintain system safety.
The same was confirmed by KESCO, as the electricity supplier to consumers.
As a result, several neighborhoods in the capital were left without electricity for several hours on Wednesday morning.
In these circumstances, citizens are very dissatisfied.
Citizen Hasim Ademi briefly stated that Kosovo is in a critical situation and holds the Prime Minister responsible.
Citizen Sabri Rexha sees the lack of electricity as concerning, especially during dropping temperatures, and criticizes why there have been no investments in this sector.
Citizen Nexhmedin Sylejmani emphasizes that the situation is very difficult, as they have been without electricity for several days, which has complicated their daily life.
Citizen Rushit Rrecaj also shares concerns with others, even though he himself has not experienced a power outage.
During these recent days, average temperatures have dropped to -10°C. In addition to city heating and wood heating, many families rely on electricity for warmth. /A. Krasniqi/
