Acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti stated that Kosovo is safer and economically stronger than it was five years ago.
In front of representatives from more than 200 businesses, Kurti promised continued support and less bureaucracy for companies.
“Our public debt is the lowest in the region. Economic growth above 4 percent, a generally well-managed banking sector—these are not just numbers but guarantees for you. This stability is not a political luxury but the foundation on which economic development is built. This progress is for all Albanians and other communities. In this context, the role of the private sector is crucial. For the first time, the gross domestic product has exceeded 10 billion euros; this year it is 11 billion euros, and next year 12 billion euros,” he said.
He made these remarks at the annual conference of the Kosovo Investment and Enterprise Support Agency (KIESA), where the Industrial Performance 2025 and the Plans to Support SMEs in 2026 will be presented.
Acting Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship, and Trade, Rozeta Hajdari, said that the lack of a qualified workforce remains a challenge.
