The Central Election Commission (CEC) certified on Thursday the final results of the local elections for 18 municipalities where the second round was held on November 9, 2025.
The results were certified for the following municipalities: Gjakova, Gjilan, Dragash, Kaçanik, Klina, Fushë Kosovë, South Mitrovica, Obiliq, Rahovec, Pejë, Prishtina, Prizren, Suharekë, Viti, Vushtrri, Junik, Mamushë, and Kllokot.
During this CEC meeting, its chairperson Kreshnik Radoniqi said that the municipal assembly of Istog is not being voted on today, as there are still issues that could lead to appeals.
Radoniqi presented the results of the 18 municipalities that were in the runoff.
“In Gjakova, the winner is Ardian Gjini with 56.69% of the votes; in Gjilan, the winner is Alban Hyseni with 61.26%; in Dragash, Bexhet Xheladini won with 56.19%; in Kaçanik, Sabedin Vishi won with 51.19%; in Klina, Zenun Elezaj won with 58.06%; in Fushë Kosovë, Valon Prebreza won with 55.12%; in South Mitrovica, Faton Peci won with 53.67%; in Obiliq, Halil Thaçi won with 51.29%; in Rahovec, Smajl Latifi won with 52.17%; in Pejë, Gazmend Muhaxheri won with 61.09%; in Prishtina, Përparim Rama won with 51.41%; in Prizren, Shaqir Totaj won with 53.42%; in Suharekë, Bali Muharremaj won with 55.34% of the votes,” he said.
Sami Kurteshi, a member of the Vetëvendosje Movement in the CEC, stated that they are against the certification of the election results for the municipality of Kllokot.
“We vote for all, but we vote against certification in Kllokot,” he said.
During this meeting, requests for the replacement of municipal assembly members, by municipality, for the 2025 local elections were also approved.
A few weeks ago, the Central Election Commission certified the results for 20 other municipalities, where winners were chosen in the first round held on October 12, 2025.
