Assembly fails to establish once again

The constitution of the Assembly of Kosovo has failed once again today. This marks the 22nd consecutive attempt since the constitutive session began on April 15.

The session chair once again proceeded with a request for members to join the commission for secret voting, but the opposition did not submit any names. The proposed commission was then put to a vote but did not receive enough support, leading to the session being adjourned and scheduled to continue the day after tomorrow.

Meanwhile, the Vetëvendosje Movement has proposed changing the session continuation rule—from taking place every 48 hours as required by the Assembly’s rules, to once a week instead.
