The leader of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Lumir Abdixhiku, has reacted strongly to the decision of the acting government to allocate 100 euros each to different categories of citizens, calling it an “attempt to buy votes.”
In a public post, Abdixhiku accused the ruling authorities of using state resources for electoral purposes, saying the government is trying to cover what he described as “governance failure with the citizens’ own money.”
According to him, the citizens of Kosovo cannot be bought and their future is not for sale. He also criticized the government for a lack of ideas, projects, and concrete results, adding that Kosovo continues to remain among the poorest countries in Europe.
Abdixhiku called for a “new chapter” for the country, where welfare and economic development would be sustainable state policies and not, as he said, electoral favors ahead of elections.
