The Kosovo Police has arrested a person on suspicion of having committed criminal offenses related to the unauthorized sale of weapons and their unauthorized possession.

In a media release from the Special Prosecutor's Office, it is stated that the police found and seized: an automatic rifle, 12 rounds of AK-47, 205 rounds of the long gun, a magazine of the AK-47 weapon as well as other evidence related to the case, which were in posession of the suspect with the initials M.L.

Criminal cases have been opened against the suspect, "Unauthorized import, export, supply, transportation, production, exchange, mediation or sale of weapons or explosive materials", "Unauthorized ownership, control, or possession of weapons" as and "Participation in or organization of an organized criminal group".

It is known that legal procedures are being followed against the same.

By order of the prosecutor of the Special Prosecution, the suspect is detained in police custody, for a duration of 48 hours.
