Today marks 78 years, since the Albanian-language newspaper "Rilindja", which was originally a weekly, was printed for the first time.

The first issue of the newspaper was printed on February 12, 1945 in Prizren, where after the 60th issue, the newspaper began to be printed in Pristina.

The newspaper was first printed as a weekly, while from June 1948 it began to be printed twice a week, and from November 1958, it began to appear as a daily.

On September 5, 1990, it was closed by the administration of the Serbian occupier. The newspaper had resumed publication after the liberation of Kosovo, in 1999, but after a while it was closed./KosovaPress/
