In just one day, the Kosovo Police has imposed 571 fines for non-compliance with anti-COVID measures19. These measures are imposed by health and state institutions. While in the country there are 14 thousand 307 active cases of COVID-19. According to the National Institute of Public Health of Kosovo (NIPHK), the total the number of positive cases since March of last year is 93 thousand 655, while due to infection with COVID-19, 1 thousand 915 people have lost their lives. The increase in the number of deaths and positive cases has led the Government of Kosovo and the Ministry of Health to review the measures.
