50 hectares have been engulfed by fire since yesterday in a part of the National Park ‘Bjeshkët e Nemuna’ (‘Cursed Mountains’). It is not yet known what caused the large fire in the village of Shtupeq i Madh in Rugova. In addition to KSF units, firefighters, members of the park and the Kosovo Police, during yesterday the assistance of KFOR was requested.

This is what Nehat Koqinaj, the spokesperson for international relations and the public at the Emergency Management Agency, told KosovaPress. He says that due to the high temperatures the situation has worsened.
