Today, 344 new recruits took their oath as soldiers of the Kosovo Security Force (KSF).

These recruits, who are the first generation certified this year, are being considered by state leaders as the successors of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) and entrusted with the duty to protect the homeland.

The ceremony took place at the ‘Bill Clinton’ Sports Hall in Ferizaj, attended by many family members of the new soldiers, as well as state leaders. The Supreme Commander of the Kosovo Security Force (KSF), Vjosa Osmani, stated that the army is not just an armed force but a commitment to security and a guarantee for peace. She emphasized that the new recruits sworn in today are the successors of the Kosovo Liberation Army.

Osmani also reminded that Kosovo is free today thanks to the sacrifice of martyrs and fallen heroes, as reported by KosovaPress.

President Osmani reaffirmed that Kosovo’s Euro-Atlantic path is clear and irreversible. According to her, the KSF, through its professionalism, is proving itself worthy of contributing to international security.

Acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti stated that today’s graduation of recruits is taking place in March, a month he considers the month of national glory. Kurti emphasized that the oath taken by the new soldiers joining the Kosovo Security Force is a sacred duty to protect the homeland.

During the ceremony, awards were also presented to outstanding recruits. Luan Verbovci was rewarded for his academic achievements during training, while Elvis Qitaku received recognition for the best physical performance. Instructors Rafet Gashi and Valon Halimi were also praised for their dedication to duty.
