Today marks 32 years since the great event for the forgiveness of reconciliation of blood feuds in Verrat e Llukës in the Municipality of Deçan. About half a million Albanians took part in this magnificent gathering on May 1, 1990, on which occasion there was a reconciliation of more than 100 inter-Albanian blood feuds. The action for the reconciliation of Albanian families in enmity had started by some students from the Dukagjini region, former political prisoners, on February 2, 1990 in Lumëbardhë of Deçan. This action turned into a movement for reconciliation of blood feuds and thanks to the great work of activists led by Anton Çetta, this popular movement managed to reconcile over a thousand blood feuds among the Albanian population.
