32 years since the promulgation of the Kacanik Constitution
On September 7, 1990, the delegates of the then Assembly of Kosovo, who had announced the Declaration of Independence on July 2, formalized this declaration with the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo.

September 7 has been described as the identity of the new history of Kosovo.
The Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo
was announced in Kaçanik, as it was the closest city to the border with North
Macedonia, and the possibility of announcing the Constitution was easier.
At that time, Kosovo was completely
occupied by the police and military forces of the former Yugoslavia and Serbia,
since from July 2, when the Declaration of Independence was read, an apartheid
regime of Slobodan Milosevic against Kosovo and the Albanian citizens began.
