As a result of cooperation and information exchange between specialists from Interpol Tirana and Interpol Podgorica, an Albanian citizen, M. D. (31), who was wanted internationally, was arrested in Montenegro and extradited to Albania, reports KosovaPress.
In April of this year, the Lezhë Court had ordered pre-trial detention for the 31-year-old, born in Lezhë, for the criminal offense of cultivating narcotic plants in Gocaj and Rraboshtë, Lezhë, which were later processed for the purpose of sale.
The sale of the narcotics was prevented thanks to the intervention of the Lezhë Police, as part of operation “Vakumi,” which seized three bags containing approximately 34 kilograms of cannabis in the village of Balldre in April of this year.
