30 massage centers and nightclubs shut down
The Central Market Surveillance Inspectorate, under the Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship, and Trade, in cooperation with the Kosovo Police, inspectors from the Kosovo Tax Administration, and inspectors from the Central Labor Inspectorate, carried out a large-scale inspection campaign targeting economic operators engaged in commercial activities — specifically in body care services (massage centers) and other entertainment and recreation activities (nightclubs).
According to the announcement, the joint operation resulted in the inspection of 114 economic entities, including 67 operators engaged in body care services (massage centers) and 47 operators involved in commercial activities related to entertainment and recreation (nightclubs).
“Inspectors from the Central Market Surveillance Inspectorate, in accordance with their legal competencies, temporarily closed 30 economic operators across the territory of the Republic of Kosovo. These closures were due to unregistered businesses as well as the absence of approvals/decisions for meeting minimum technical conditions. Against economic operators who conducted their activities in violation of the law, 33 penalties were imposed according to applicable legislation. The Central Market Surveillance Inspectorate, according to its legal competencies, will continue inspections in the coming days and if violations are found, measures will be taken to stop the activities,” the announcement states.
