During a police checkpoint in the village of Hodonoc in Kamenica, the Kosovo Police stopped a van with Serbian license plates, driven by a male Serbian citizen.

During the vehicle inspection, police officers found and seized around 120 sacks of potatoes, with a total weight of approximately 3,000 kilograms, which are suspected to lack the necessary documentation.

The suspect was taken to the police station for questioning and, by decision of the competent prosecutor, was released following standard procedure. The seized goods were sent to the customs terminal for further processing, in accordance with the applicable legislation.

The Kosovo Police stated that the case will be handled in coordination with the relevant authorities and that inspections will continue to prevent illegal activities.
