16 deaths and 827 new cases of COVID-19
16 deaths and 827 new cases of coronavirus have been recorded in the last 24 hours in Kosovo. This was announced by the National Institute of Public Health of Kosovo (NIPHK). During the last 24 hours, in the Laboratory of Molecular Microbiology in NIPHK and private laboratories with RT-PCR method, as well as public and private laboratories with RAT method, were tested a total of 5,049 samples taken from UCHSK and tracking of case contacts in the field, of which 827 cases resulted positive.
The total number of positive cases is 83,012 cases out of 389,791 people suspected of being infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus, while the total number of deaths is 1,776. During the last 24 hours, 518 patients have been cured, the total number of cured to date is 68,601 cases, while the number of active cases is 12,635.
