Today marks 14 years since the killing of Selver Haradinaj, who lost his life on April 8, 2012, following the explosion of an explosive device in northern Mitrovica, a case that remained unsolved for years.

On this occasion, the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, visited the Haradinaj family, describing the incident as a terrorist attack and praising the family’s resilience in continuing to live on their property.

“We visited the family of Selver Haradinaj, exactly on the 14th anniversary of the terrorist attack that killed him in his apartment. Fortunately, his children and his wife survived at the time. We thank his brother Zymer, together with another brother Agron, for welcoming us into that apartment, which is now being renovated and where they live safely and continue their lives. We also thank his three sons, now grown up—Armend, Alber, and Arben—for the warm atmosphere they created in their home and for their resilience in not being displaced from their property, where they live and where now the state of Kosovo will also be present, our democratic and independent Republic, which through the rule of law protects everyone without distinction,” Kurti said.
