​The Special Prosecution is investigating 1,600 single-source contracts

Deputy Prosecutor of the Special Prosecution of the Republic of Kosovo Valdet Gashi said that 1,600 single-source contracts are being investigated.

Gashi made this statement while presenting the annual work report of this prosecution, at the 261st meeting of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council.
Deputy Chief Prosecutor Gashi also said that the new prosecutors started work in June of last year and are engaged in the investigation of single-source contracts.

“The new prosecutors who came and started working in June 2024, so it is a short period of their activity to have a great progress…These prosecutors are dealing with single-source contract cases. There are 1600 contracts that are being handled by these prosecutors. There cannot be results in a month, or two or three months, because it takes time, because we only have one piece of information, and to come to an assessment we need to collect information”
