Nurse Enlirat Duraku has submitted to several institutions in the country requests for increased payment of night shifts for nurses, payment of risk at work, payment of work during the weekend and that of overtime. On the 14th day of the hunger strike and the 4th day of the 4th thirst strike, Duraku submitted the requests to the Speaker of Parliament Glauk Konjufca, to the health committee in the Assembly of Kosovo, in the Government, including the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Finance. He announced in front of the media that he will continue his strike until the demands are met, despite the health consequences he may face. Asked if he was alone in the hunger and thirst strike, he said that although he had called on his colleagues to join him, the latter had not responded positively to the invitation. On this occasion, he once again called on his colleagues to join the strike, without neglecting their humane work as a nurse.
