The Government of Kosovo has again approved the international agreement with the OPEC Development Fund, a few days after the same failed to be ratified in the Assembly of Kosovo. The executive at today's meeting decided to dissolve New Energy Enterprise of Kosovo (NEEK), which was established to manage the contract for the construction of the "New Kosova" thermal power plant by "Contour Global", but this project has been canceled since March of 2020. In addition, several expropriation decisions were taken, including the conservation, restoration and construction of the Reçak Massacre memorial complex.

The Minister of Finance, Labor and Transfers, Hekruan Murati showed, according to him, the necessity of ratifying the agreement with OPEC in the Assembly.

He said that many untruths have been said about the same agreement, as according to him, through this agreement Kosovo would benefit about 40 million dollars.

The government also approved the initiative for the conclusion of the social security agreement between Kosovo and Turkey.

Meanwhile, the deadline for the implementation of the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA) agreement with the European Union has been postponed for another two years./KosovaPress/
