Preliminary results in Albania, PS gets 74 seats, PD 59, LSI 4 and PSD 3
The Commissioner of the Central Election Commission, Ilirjan Celibashi, said today that the process of counting and evaluating the votes has been completed for the electoral subjects, political parties, coalitions and independent candidates in 4922 polling stations from 5199 in total in the country. According to preliminary results, the Socialist Party got 74 seats, the Democratic Party 59 seats, the SMI 4 seats and the PSD 3 seats. While the candidates supported by the Vetëvendosje Movement have not managed to secure seats in the Assembly of Kosovo.
The counting has ended for the subjects that competed in the elections all over the country, except Tirana and Durrës where there are 13 polling stations left to be counted. 1,555,921 voters or 45.72% exercised their right to vote in the April 25 elections.
