The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani received a congratulatory letter from the President of the United States of America, Joe Biden, who congratulated her on behalf of the American people on her election as head of state. President Biden mentioned the good relations between the two countries and the long partnership rooted in common values, mentioning the personal relationship of the Biden family with Kosovo. In this context, the US President mentioned his son Beau, who served in Kosovo within the US peacekeeping forces, as stated in the letter on "advancing peace and the rule of law."
