The Ambassador of Italy in Kosovo, Nicola Orlando has congratulated Lumir Abdixhiku for the position of chairman of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK). Orlando says Abdixhiku has said he is working to build support for institution building. The Italian ambassador welcomed Abdixhiku's expectation for a constructive role in the opposition. " In a friendly call this morning I congratulated LumirAbdixhiku for his election as Chairman of LDK. Responding to my encouragement he said he is working to build support to forming institutions. I welcomed his expectation of a constructive opposition role", the ambassador wrote on twitter.
