On the Day of the President, as a sign of gratitude for the contribution to the freedom and independence of Kosovo, in the presence of the US Deputy Ambassador, Nicholas Giacobe and representatives of the association "Vatra", the President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, decorated Jim Xhema with The Order of Liberty. He was previously decorated with the Gold Medal of the League of Prizren by the historic president, Dr. Ibrahim Rugova. In the same ceremony, President Osmani decorated with the Order of dr. Ibrahim Rugova decorated Christopher Hyland. President Osmani praised the contribution of Xhema and Hzland for the affirmation of the Kosovo issue over the years.
