The Charge d'Affaires of the US Embassy in Pristina, Nicholas Giacobbe, has called on the citizens of Kosovo to go to the polls in today's municipal elections. In a post on Twitter, the American diplomat reminded that it is up to the citizens to elect municipal leaders with their vote. "Democracy is not a spectator sport. While the US Embassy in Pristina is part of the international monitoring effort, it is ultimately up to you Kosovars to make your voices heard and to elect municipal leaders who share your priorities. Do your part. Go out and vote," he wrote.
