The Ministry of Economy on Thursday held a public opening of applications for wind auction bidders.

During the public opening of applications submitted by potential bidders, the Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli, pledged to once again follow the highest standards of transparency and competition for this sector.
Rizvanolli stressed that the first wind auction, together with the solar one, will complete, as she put it, “the country’s electricity mix.”

“Today we are disclosing the applications received based on the request for qualification for the construction of a wind farm of 50 to 100 megawatts in Kosovo. The experience of the first solar auction of 100 megawatts not only arouses interest, but also ensures favorable prices for our customers. We pledge that we will again follow the highest standards of transparency and competition. The second phase of the application, the request for proposals, begins in March, where companies will have the opportunity to apply with financial proposals for our wind farm. The first wind auction, together with the solar one that has been completed, will complete our energy mix," said Rizvanolli.

There are three international companies and one local in this process.
The application was open until today at 12:00.
