The Committee for Management and Prevention of the Spread of COVID-19, chaired by the Deputy Mayor of Gjilan, Arber Ismajli, has held a meeting to review the situation for the last two days. Ismajli said that we have an increase of infections in Gjilan in recent days, adding that this proves that the virus is present among us. According to a report, the general overview in Gjilan since the beginning of the pandemic is as follows: out of 12479 samples, 3773 were positive, 3464 have been cured, 111 citizens lost the battle with the virus, 200 cases are active, and hospitalized with COVID are 28 persons. In this meeting it was announced that the phenomenon of the last days of burning forests in Gjilan is worrying, while the citizens have been appealed not to continue with such hideous acts, otherwise at the moment they are identified they will face the justice authorities.
