The chairman of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj, refused to comment on statements made by the chairman of the Social Democratic Initiative, Fatmir Limaj, regarding their coalition history.
According to him, Limaj’s statements are not relevant, and he asked journalists to question him on other topics.
Haradinaj said that they have offered two options to unblock the situation in the Assembly, proposing suitable names, according to him, to vote for the Speaker of the Assembly.“I have no comment, I don’t recall anything... Do you have any other questions? This is not something relevant. Everything related to them is in the past. We are in front of the parliament. We are in a session blockage. As you know, as an alliance in our tactic, we have given two solutions so we don’t remain blocked as we have been for some time now. First, we gave the option to vote for a candidate from LVV, but one that unites us with a vote; we gave names. Also, we took a second action. We addressed the Constitutional Court with the aim to get out of this situation…,” said Haradinaj.
The head of AAK, Ramush Haradinaj, and the head of Nisma, Fatmir Limaj, were in a coalition for the parliamentary elections of February 9, 2025, together with several other parties, such as the Forum of Intellectuals e-30. A few days ago, Limaj announced that the Forum of Intellectuals had joined the Social Democratic Initiative.Deputies failed to constitute the Assembly even on the 22nd attempt. Even in the next attempt, the coalition of the Vetëvendosje Movement , Lista Guxo, and Alternativa failed to form the Committee for the secret ballot voting of the Speaker of the Assembly.
