The Roma Initiative has been at the center of accusations that it won votes thanks to the help of the Serb List. Non-Serb minority communities complained to the ECAP, and later to the Supreme Court, that the Serb List orchestrated votes for this entity in order to secure reserved seats in the Kosovo Assembly for Roma. However, representatives of this initiative categorically deny this accusation. Sunaj Garipi stated for KosovaPress that the decision to annul their votes in some municipalities of Kosovo just because there are fewer citizens from the Roma community than the votes they received, is unconstitutional and racist. Garipi stated that based on the deadlines, they have submitted an appeal to the Supreme Court and expect this institution to annul the ECAP decision to cancel their 830 votes, otherwise warn that the case will be sent to the Constitutional Court.
