Diaspora vote, LVV submits complaint to ECAP
Vetevendosje Movement has today submitted a complaint to the ECAP regarding the decision of the CEC to verify the applications of the diaspora for the elections of February 14, 2021 in the meeting held on Monday. Although such a decision was voted by the representatives of LVV in the CEC, this political entity says that their representatives agreed that the application for registration should be verified only for cases of non-compliance according to procedures, when many applications with different surnames are sent from one email address and one phone number.
Vetevendosje Movement clarifies that the CEC should draft an Administrative Instruction, which regulates the detailed manner of verification. This instruction should exclude any possibility of removing voters from the voting list through a telephone call. With this instruction, the CEC Secretariat should be instructed to report to the CEC on all cases of non-compliance that have been verified separately and on the verification steps taken. This administrative instruction must be made public immediately after approval.
