Representatives of the Independent Trade Union of Kosovo Correctional Service are protesting today in front of the building of the Government of Kosovo demanding the payments that they say they deserve. They say that the Correctional Service is in the front line of the fight against the pandemic and meets all the legal criteria for legal treatment for additional payments according to the Anti-COVID Law. They say that the request for supplements has been submitted since the entry into force of the Anti-COVID Law and that promises have been given to them that they will be treated the same as the Kosovo Police. However, according to them, the Government of Kosovo has not yet made a decision to execute the addition payments and so they were forced to protest. Meanwhile, a group of protesters have been invited to a meeting by the incumbent Prime Minister, Avdullah Hoti, and the meeting is currently being held at the premises of the Government of Kosovo.
